What public access for computing is available to students?
Computer workstations are located in the libraries, Commuter Lounges, and throughout campus. In addition, there are kiosks that provide access to the Internet and email.
Does the institution provide institutional email accounts for all students and use email as an official medium of communication?
Email is the official communication method between faculty and students. All registered Adelphi students are assigned an Adelphi Gmail account that they can continue using after graduation.
Is network bandwidth limited for peer-to-peer software, gaming, webcams, or other programs requiring high levels of network services?
Adelphi has a secure and stable network infrastructure to ensure high-level capabilities and sufficient bandwidth for academic-related software and other Web applications. The use of webcams, Skype, and gaming are all allowed on the Adelphi network.
Is there a campus code of behavior about using computer resources?

Does the campus have policies addressing peer-to-peer file sharing, computer viruses, and copyright violations?
Adelphi respects all federal, state, and local laws regarding the downloading of information from the Internet as detailed in the File Sharing/Download Policy which is posted online.
Is contact information for students, faculty, and staff readily accessible electronically?
Faculty, staff, and departmental directories are available online. Faculty advisers have access to student email addresses and telephone numbers.
Does the campus make online communities available (for example, forums, bulletin boards, and so forth)? Forums and discussion boards are available on the Adelphi eCampus portal. In addition, first-year students have their own discussion boards on eCampus.
Are there websites for student organizations and clubs?
Many of the 70 Adelphi student organizations, clubs and academic honor societies have their own section on MyAULife. These groups include Student Government, Academic, Clubs, Campus Media Organizations, Community Service and Social Action Clubs, Cultural Organizations, Greek Letter Fraternities and Sororities, Honor Societies, Religious Organizations, and Special Interest Organizations.
What technology-supported career planning services are available to students?
Through the Center for Career Development, Adelphi offers technology-supported resources to help with career-planning and job search. Handshake is an online job and internship posting system. There are also applications for résumé development and improving interview skills.
