Student Guide to Technology

Your guide to evaluating student technology on campus.

Technology enhances your entire college experience. It has a positive impact on both your academic studies and student life. It empowers you with information, facilitates your studies, and speeds up communications with faculty and other students. Technology is an important factor that you should consider when selecting a university.

The Student Guide to Evaluating Information Technology on Campus gives you an overview of technology at Adelphi University. It will help answer your questions and provide you with information about the use of technology in five key areas:

At Adelphi, technology is under the direction of the Office of Information Technology (IT) which has created a comprehensive website that offers technology services, helpful information, and links to free software downloads.

This guide is based on criteria set by EDUCAUSE, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the “intelligent use of information technology.” The EDUCAUSE guide was developed in cooperation with the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). Adelphi is a member of EDUCAUSE.
